A Drum Table Has Got Its Groove Back With Some – “Bling, Bling” from Country Chic

It’s time for May’s Fab Furniture Flipping Contest™ this month we are focusing on adding some “Bling- Bling” to our projects with Country Chic’s Metallic Cream Line. This is my first time using a Cream Metallic and I can’t wait to give it a go around. Let’s watch as  this little drum table get its groovy beat back shall we?

Country Chic’s All In One – 2016 Spring Summer Limited Edition Collection

Here are the amazing colors available from this years Spring Summer line up. The hardest part in painting a piece for me is deciding on a color for my design because I want to sample all of them. I chose Sea Storm for this project because I really wanted to try out a darker shade of blue this time around.

Country Chic’s Metallic Cream Colors

Here is an example of Country Chics Metallic Creams. I used Trigger for this project, Dark on Dark they just compliment each other so well.

The Before Shot

This gem of a roadside find needed a little makeover, great bones with lots of life left in it!

Little Repair Work

The drum table needed some slight repairs, nothing a little wood glue and clamps could not easily fix.

Some Prepping

The top needed some sanding to get out those deep scratches.

Drum Table Detail Shots

My sneak peak shot I shared on instagram with our Pup Gemma making her debut!

A small sized staged shot

Stencil Detail

The thickness of the metallic cream really helps prevent paint from bleeding out under the stencil.

Detailed Finish

I used clear wax and black wax on the drum table to give this piece an aged finish.

Leg Close Up

Light distressing to add to the vintage vibe.

Before And After

Don’t you just love a before and after shot? I have to remember to include more of these!
