Thrift Store Swap #5
Hey Ya’ll It’s reveal day for the Thrift Store Swap! Ive teamed up with a great group of women who join together for an exchange of thrift store finds to reimagine. We all hunt down some cool items and send them to one of the women in the group to repurpose, who in turn sends hers to the next person and so on, Then we all share our projects.
Here’s what Heather sent me and how I upcycled it!
Heather from One Crazy Ride sent me a few things for the Swap to makeover let’s check them out,
what would you do with these?
1 – Halloween Drawer Decor
She sent over this cute little Halloween drawers decor piece. Great for storing little items, for a craft room perhaps or maybe a spice cabinet for the kitchen.
2 – Arrow and Chalkboard
The second item this wooden arrow, and a little chalkboard for extra measure. Hmm both arrows and chalkboards are pretty hot items right now. I can’t really incorporate them with item #1 so these will be put on hold for the second reveal.
I knew I would be painting this, so I removed the little Halloween drawer pulls, and sanded off the remaining glue bits. painted inside and out and all the outer drawer areas with some leftover chalk paint.
Decoupage and Vintage Knobs
I used these vintage seed packet images, which I printed out on regular copy paper. Then decoupaged them on with Mod Podge, sanded the edges, and gave them a topcoat of poly. Finished them off with Daddy Vans clear and antiquing wax.
The knobs were leftover from another vintage makeover.
